How it works
The Desk works like a careful newsroom: it reads widely, keeps to the facts, writes for your readers, and hands every piece to an editor, which is you. Here is what happens to each story.
-
1
Set up your site
Add your website and the Desk reads your own published writing to propose your voice: how you sound, who you write for, the areas you cover and the words you use. You check and approve it. For regulated firms there is a compliance block that goes into every piece.
-
2
Choose your sources
Pick the news feeds that matter to your readers. The Desk checks them through the day, skips paywalled articles, and respects each publisher's robots.txt.
-
3
Pick the stories worth writing
Each new story is scored for how much it matters nationally, how much it matters to your area, and whether it will still be useful in a month. Only the best are written, at the pace you choose. Or pick a story yourself, paste a link, or write up your own news from a brief.
-
4
Write from the facts
The Desk reads the full source and draws up a fact sheet. It plans the piece around the question your readers will ask, then writes it in your voice: news when something has changed, a guide when people need an answer they can keep.
-
5
Check every claim
A separate check compares every claim with the fact sheet and what your own site says. Anything it can't support is narrowed or removed, never added to. The writing is also checked for padding, clichés and stock phrases, and revised.
-
6
Link to your own pages
Your site's pages are kept up to date on the Desk, so each piece links to the pages that are actually relevant, not just any page.
-
7
You edit and approve
The piece waits on your Desk with its sources, fact sheet and checks beside it. Change anything you like, then an owner or approver approves it, or turns it down with a reason. Every edit and decision is recorded.
-
8
It learns from your edits
The Desk compares your version with its own and suggests voice rules from what you changed: cut this kind of opener, use shorter paragraphs, say members not customers. You apply the ones you agree with, so it sounds more like you every week.
-
9
It arrives where you publish
On WordPress, the free Hynca Media Desk plugin collects approved pieces every 15 minutes and saves them as drafts, with a header image, tags, SEO title and description. Anywhere else, copy the piece or download it as Word, PDF, Markdown or text. Either way, a person decides to publish.
What you can rely on
Nothing is published by itself
There is no auto-publish, on any plan. A person approves on the Desk, and a person publishes in WordPress.
No invented facts
Written from the source's facts and checked against them. The source is linked and credited in every piece.
Your site stays yours
The plugin makes no AI calls and needs no AI keys. You can pause automatic writing from WordPress at any time.
Written for people
Plain, specific writing for your readers. We don't try to game AI detectors, and we don't pass copy through "humanizer" tools.
